On Sunday we tested the new Ocean Rodeo Flite 14.5m2 ALUULA kite, long awaited and finally arrived. Although there was a weak Off-shore / Side-off-shore wind, we still decided to give it a try anyway. Aluula kites are the lightest and most durable on the market, so we had no doubt that it will stay in the air even when there was almost no wind and that we could actually even give it a try in the water, when every rider sat at home or on the shore :)
We were suprised. The kite not to say hangs, but just stays in the air consistently, doesn't backstall even when the wind is very low (due to its light Aluula Frame and shape). Also, it has a lot of lift and pull power. We were stoked to jump on it when blowing 4m/s and hang in the air for a while. Moreover, it is very fast, it can loop quickly even when blowing 3m/s. Easy to relaunch from the water. Anyway, interesting material, fun kite. If the wind was constantly blowing 5m / s, it would be possible to ride without any struggle at all and even jump and do some more advanced tricks. Despite the wind, it was possible to do some nice jumps when gusts showed up. We used a Takoon Source light wind 158cm board.
